COMMERCIAL NON-CONTENT MEDIA QUALIFICATIONS
DENIED
MEDIA PASSES
Adultcon is the most difficult expo to get a media pass to.
We do not provide media passes to:
Independent show producers
Private production companies
Research projects
Photographers
Freelancers
Bloggers
Podcasts
Internet shows
Individuals Adultcon makes coverage easy
for
major recognized media outlets.
Each
year Adultcon welcomes members of the media from all over
the world.
The only means for media access consideration is to pre-register.
There is no onsite
registration.
Members
of the media are admitted to Adultcon with a "media wristband"
and badge.
Keep in mind that media registration is a courtesy.
Your
wristband and badge are non-transferable and you may not sell
it or give it away.
If you sell it or give it away, your organization will not
be admitted in the future.
A wristband/badge does not allow for plus ones or guests.
Interviews
are not permitted without a media badge.
Talent will not conduct interviews to those without a media
wristband.
Because of a variety of rules governing the LA Convention
Center and Adultcon,
wheeled carts or hand carts are not allowed in the convention
center.
Camera
crews, while free to roam the show, may not set up equipment
in a fixed manner
(i.e. lights, chairs, etc.).
The
issuance of a any media wristband/ badge is at the sole discretion
of Adultcon.
Media
badges are given out only to major
recognized media outlets.
Examples of these organizations include:
Accredited TV stations
Radio stations-not Internet based
Newspapers that are in print -not Internet based
Magazines that are in print - not Internet based
REQUEST DEADLINE
Adultcon media requests
will be addressed up to the day before
opening day
but only from major
TV outlets.
All others will not get a reply.
SUBMIT
MEDIA REQUESTS
All
media requests will be thoroughly researched before being
rejected or granted.
A drivers license or passport and business card is required
for a media wristband if approved.
Media that have not previously covered Adultcon, must first
establish credibility
by following this policy to receive a media pass:
Email
us your request
no less than 5 days
before the event.
We do not review requests after that date.
GET APROVIDED
FOR A MEDIA BADGE
Requests
will be accepted only by email and only from a publisher,
editor, assignment desk or station manager from a
major
recognized media outlet
APPROVAL
You will receive an email confirmation of your media pass
only if approved.
Your media pass will give you access and credibility with
the talent and exhibitors.
Adultcon
requires links to any coverage to be emailed within 3 days
of Adultcon ending.
No one from, or works for Adultcon, is available for interviews
GUIDELINES
Your media pass admits you only from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday
and is not valid any other day.
A request to be admitted at other times will be ignored.
COMMERCIAL
/ CONTENT BADGES-
$1,000
Any
videotaping, filming, or recording of any manner which will
be used for commercial/content gathering purposes (non-news)
must first obtain a commercial/content badge and wristband.
A Commercial badge gives permision
to anyone that wants to tape video and audio for commercial
/ content purposes but do not qualify for Media badges
as explained above.
Only one person needs the commercial badge/wristband but others
in the group must pay $50.
This includes on-air talent, film, sound and all support staff
and crew.
It is valid all show hours.
It is valid for admission into the VIP room.
It is valid to Interview the fans and exhibitors.
It is valid to interview all models or talent but only after
getting their permisson.
Anyone violating this policy will have ther badges and wristbands
taken and escorted out.
There
is need to contact us. Just go
to the will call desk on any show day 2 hours after doors
open to buy them, cash only.
They are valid for in/out all weekend.
No
one from, or works for Adultcon, is available for interviews
FUTURE
ENTRY
Presenting Adultcon in an un-flatering light wil result in
your media privilege being revoked permanently, as well as
your organization.
STATE VICE LAW
LAPD Vice is in the show undercover all hours.
Do
not request the talent to flash or display any type
of nudity.
This is illegal and you are subject to arrest for solicitation
if caught.
If show management finds out, it will cause immediate ejection
and void your press /media privilege permanently.
